I gifted my child Radio Control 1:16 Scale Big Time Muscle - 2009. It is a coolest RC car i have scene. It is automated through 4 AA batteries and a powerful zoom sound. My little one is animated about it. It is hardly 2.5 pounds in weight too. Have a look ....

Looks pretty nice - we go through an RC car a season it seems...there aren't many that are durable enough for kids. Mattel makes a few though.

RC Cars lasting a season? I can barely find one that lasts a month for my nephews. They literally drive them til the wheels come off, usually in result from driving them off the top of the stairwell. They easily destroy anything they get their hands on.
