Does anyone know of any MP3 players that are durable enough for a toddler? I am looking for something that won't shatter into a million and one pieces when dropped. Any suggestions?

I'd go with an adult version - the kids MP3 players are pretty limited. Pick up an early generation iPod Nano - they're durable and cheap at this point.

That is what I was thinking. They have some cheap ones on clearance at our local electronics store, probably making way for the new line of models for the Christmas season.

Would you believe it if I told you that sometimes the cheapest players are also the most durable?

A year or so back I bought this 1 GB Mp3 player, I think Panasonic was the brand? I would have to doublecheck on that, but anyway it cost me something like $15. Not only did my kid keep from ruining it, but my Mp3 player of a similiar model kept working, no matter how many times it slipped out of my hands. Not only all that, but the sound quality was rather good, and 1 GB is certainly enough space for most kids music.

Go for cheap MP3 players. They're usually durable enough, and for the price you can't go wrong. Your kids shouldn't need anything to high in memory, so 1-2gb should be enough.
